This is art, as is all of his works. If we have much more of a future, history will see him as a genius. If only we had more 'vandals' like him

Ally, 14

I love banksy's work it truly is amazing. I only discovered him a few days ago because part of my art based textiles coursework is to research an artist and "copy" some of their work into our sketch books. I chose banksy but regret doing so because my copies are no where near as good as his original work.

Ohhh! Get you! "But I did see a Banksy with mine own little eyeballs!". Hehe okay perhaps I'm just a London snob having seen his works for many a year now. But yeah, it is rather cool.

You'll be thrilled to hear I'm finally giving some thought to revamping my website (from the POS Paris holding page I've had the past few years).

I have no wish to stir up controversy either, as vandalism of the kind you see almost everyday is neither big nor clever, but the 'Girl at the ATM' is however is small and very clever. Consider this: had it been commissioned by your local council it would have taxpayers thousands, taken ages to realise and so quite likely lost all its impact before it even appeared! No, I am not against publicly funded arts at all; it is just that, although the situation is now getting better, the UK has proved to be a rather late developer! It is the sense of surprise that makes such images so potent.
