Eau de Play-Doh
Play-Doh has a very unique scent, which we associate to so many childhood memories. To me, it’s a reminder of the salty homemade “pâte à modeler” my mom used to make instead of buying us Play-Doh. It did mean I could choose the colour of it and put the drops of food colouring into the mix myself, but it was slightly less cool than real Play-Doh.
And it reminds me of the similar smell of wax crayons, and doing the messiest artwork in the world where you fill the page with colours, cover everything with black, then use the edge of a coin to scrape off the black layer and draw a picture in negative.
Well, for those who also like the smell of Play-Doh and the memories it brings back, Demeter Fragrance Library has released a “Eau de Play-Doh” scent to celebrate Hasbro’s 50 years of Play-Doh. Hasbro says that it’s a fragrance for ‘highly-creative people, who seek a whimsical scent reminiscent of their childhood.’ Mmm I could do with a dose of free and careless childhood right about now.
Fifty years on, Play-Doh is apparently available in 50 colours now! I recall some primary, yet neon, reds, blues, yellows and greens in my childhood, but 50 colours is impressive. Enough to create a grand masterpiece!

Francine avait une bonne recette de pâte à modeler..tu peut en faire avec de la farine et du colorant??

Louis a fait du pain doré dernièrement et au lieu d’ajouter du sucre il a ajouté du sel par accident. Ce qui était dérangeant c’est que j’ai tout de suite pensé que ça gouttait à la pâte à modeler de maman… J’en ai mangé tant que ça? :S
